An animation that breaks down inequality by using visual glitches, sound, and pacing to guide viewers from chaos to clarity.
This animation, created as part of a design exploration on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 10 (Reducing Inequalities), uses visual glitches, dynamic sound design, and deliberate pacing to guide viewers from disruption to clarity and hope. This was achieved by blending visuals, typography, sound, pacing, and tone, working together to create a dynamic journey of tension and resolution, guiding the viewer through the emotional transition.
Reflection
This project is like its own world, where every detail matters. Visual glitches, pacing shifts, and sound design work together to guide the viewer from confusion to clarity—turning a complex topic like inequality into an emotional, relatable journey. It taught me how to use contrast in motion, sound, and tone to evoke emotion and convey deeper ideas. This reinforced my belief that design should make complex topics accessible and impactful, using research, empathy, and storytelling to connect with people.
